DARPA orders anti-RPG system tests

UK-based AmSafe Bridport has received a USD100,000 sole-source contract to supply the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) with test assets to support the agency's RPGNets low-cost, low collateral damage rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) defence mechanism. Managed by DARPA's Tactical Technology Office, RPGNets seeks to apply "a rigorous scientific approach to the characterisation of the interactions of special high-capability nets to dud, break, or otherwise disable rocket propelled grenades"
