It is being reported by FAS, that STRATCOM is canceling the controversial preemption Strike Plan that incorporated tailored nuclear, conventional, and non-kinetic elements into a single pre-emprive strike plan in response to emerging WMD threats. The "New Triad" has undergone significant growing pains since the Bush Administration brought the plan to operational status in 2004.
